Character Counts in Iowa


Robert D. and Billie Ray Center formerly known as Character Counts In Iowa, will serve as a Regional Center for both CHARACTER COUNTS! and the Institute for Excellence & Ethics. In partnership with The Ray Center, CIPCO and its member systems continue to facilitate character and ethics training within the communities served by our member electric cooperatives. CHARACTER COUNTS! is the nation's most widely used framework for character development.

CoBank serving rural Amercia


CoBank is a national cooperative bank serving vital industries across rural America. They provide loans, leases, export financing and other financial services to our customers, including U.S. agribusinesses, ag cooperatives and rural power, water and communications providers in all 50 states. CoBank is a member of the Farm Credit System.

Iowa Association of Business and Industry


Iowa Association of Business and Industry represents a broad-based organization of Iowa businesses working together to promote Iowa commerce in shaping Iowa's future. ABI has over 1,500 business members that employ over 330,000 Iowans.

National Utility Training and Safety Education Association


Iowa Electric Utility Safety and Training Association provides training coordinated through the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives in cooperation with the National Utility Training & Safety Education Association. The Association promotes professionalism and safety education as well as a continuous exchange of information, ideas and job-related experiences among its members.

Iowa-Illinois Safety Council is a chapter of the National Safety Council. This non-profit organization, supported by over 1,000 members in Iowa and Illinois, helps business and industry with their safety, health and environmental programs, both on and off the job. IISC provides a variety of safety information, seminars and services in an effort to reduce accidents or injuries and the extraordinary costs associated with them.

Iowa Institute for Cooperatives is a organization made up of over 180 cooperatives from a variety of industries. Benefits received by its members include legislative action and protection, educational and training programs, business development assistance and family support.

National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation


CFC is a member-owned, nonprofit cooperative and the premier market lender for electric cooperatives. CFC provides financing and related services to U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Utilities Service (RUS) borrowers and non-borrowers alike. 

Enhancement Internship Program with University of Northern Iowa


CIPCO Business Enhancement Internship Program is a partnership between CIPCO, UNI and the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center. This program provides internships with Iowa-based small businesses, new ventures, economic development corporations or other worthy programs.

US Department of Agriculture Rural Utilities Service


USDA Rural Utilities Service is a Rural Development Agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. RUS administers programs that provide much-needed infrastructure or infrastructure improvements to rural communities. The electric program provides capital to finance the construction or improvement of electric distribution, transmission and generation facilities. RUS also provides funding to support demand-side management, energy efficiency and conservation programs, and on-and off-grid renewable energy systems.
