CIPCO and Clarke Electric Cooperative Powering Homes with Solar Energy

The Clarke Solar Farm has the capacity to generate 636,780 kWh of energy in its first year, enough to fully power 63 homes. This multi-site solar installation incorporates solar as an additional environmentally-friendly resource within CIPCO's generation portfolio.

CIPCO Honors Employee Service at Annual Event

Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) proudly recognized 23 individuals with a combined 253 years of service at its annual employee service anniversary celebrations in Cedar Rapids, Creston, Des Moines and Wilton. Annually, CIPCO honors and recognizes the years of dedicated service for employees reaching employment milestones with the organization.

CIPCO's 2015 annual meeting highlights included increased electric sales; continued reliablity with a decrease in the average outage per customer; a midyear wholesale rate reduction for the members; and continued investments in emissions-free resources.
