DES MOINES – Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) announces two new members to its board of directors. Joining the board are Arden Greiner (right) representing Consumers Energy and Kirk Hiland (below)representing Linn County REC.
“As CIPCO continues to serve member cooperatives in the rural electric utility industry, we’re honored to add Arden and Kirk to our board,” said CEO and Executive Vice President Bill Cherrier. “These individuals bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise from their time on their local rural electric cooperative boards and I look forward to their insights as we make key decisions.”
Arden Greiner is a self-employed farmer north of Colo, Iowa. Arden received his degree in ag business from Iowa State University. Currently, he is a member of Farm Bureau and has served on the county board of directors, holding the position of secretary. Additionally, he served as associate director at the Heart of Iowa Co-op and on the nominating committee at Consumers Energy. Arden and his wife, Ronna, have two children.
Kirk Hiland is a certified general real property appraiser and works as a broker with NAI Iowa Realty Commercial in Cedar Rapids. Additionally, he is an adjunct instructor with the University of Iowa, College of Business. Kirk serves as the treasurer on the Linn Country REC board of directors and is the past-president of the Cedar Rapids Area Association of REALTORS. Kirk is also active with Boy Scouts and Ducks Unlimited.
