As a way to promote the benefits of electric vehicles (EVs), CIPCO purchased an all-electric Chevy Bolt in 2017. The addition replaced two gas-fueled employee fleet vehicles while serving as a marketing tool. To help spread the word, CIPCO makes the EV available to its Member-owners to use for an interactive promotional and/or educational purpose. Additionally, CIPCO installed charging stations at each of its locations for use by all electric vehicles as a way to support the EV industry in Iowa. While gas prices may fluctuate, electricity remains a great value for EV drivers.
