Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) generates and transmits safe, reliable and cost-effective wholesale power that 13 Member-owned cooperatives and associations deliver across Iowa. It produces and purchases electricity, carries it across nearly 2,000 miles of transmission line and delivers it to more than 300 Member-owner substation delivery points.
